 In Loving Memory of
soft pastel and color pencil on paper

In this work, I recreated flowers that have gone extinct in different countries around the world (Top Left: Cosmos Astrosanguineus native to Mexico, Top Right: Viola Cryana native to France, Bottom Left: Euphorbia Mayurnathanii native to India, Bottom Right: Sophora Toromiro native to Easter Island) from manmade causes such as deforestation and habitat destruction. With this collection of soft pastel and color pencil drawings, I want to commemorate the lost beauty of these flowers in hopes of advocating the preservation and protection of all endangered plant species.
